First Trip Camping

Our first run is a short one, just up the road to Honeybridge Park near Horsham. 

We’ve managed to get here safe and sound and set up the awning.  It’s the first time we’ve put it up and no arguments. 

Big learning curve sorting out all the water, electric and gas but now relaxing with dinner cooking in the oven. Great start to bank holiday weekend. 

End of Summer School

It was the last day today and Mya came away with 2 awards. Not a bad start to Ormiston School life. 

Summer School at Ormiston Six Villages

Mya is into her second day of summer school.  It gives her a chance to see what secondary is going to be like and get to know her tutor group. 

Yesterday she came home with blueberry muffins that she baked in Food Tech.  She said her best lesson was Philosophy

So sweet the way Jess and Mya walked in holding hands. 

Mya’s Getting the Sewing Bug

Yesterday Mya did another sewing class in Petersfield. She made an amazing patchwork cushion and came away asking for a sewing machine for her birthday! 

New Handbag

I got so sick of buying bags that just fell apart due to poor sewing so founds a pattern online and have just made my first bag. Complete with lining. Very pleased with myself. 

Double Date

Mya and Jess decided to have a double date with Patrick and Teddie.  They all met at Walberton park. I chaperoned and then drove them to Macdonalds followed by Tim Hortons for donuts.  They had a fun afternoon. 

School Uniform Labeling

Half way through the holidays and preparing for a new school.  Needle and thread out tonight, name labels done.
