Family Day at Gunwharf

Before life gets too back to normal, end of half term, we decided to go to Gunwharf to see the new Michael Jackson film in the comfortable seats of Vue Cinema.  A great film.

Then lunch at our favourite, Wagamamas!

It's good to be home.

Starting the day with a delicious breakfast on the patio enjoying the garden.  Missing the Mickey Waffles though!

Garden has burst into life

Back home and can't believe how much the garden has flourished whilst we've been away.  Luckily John has been watering to keep things alive through the heatwave that hit.

Day 4 - Theatre Show and Final Memories of Disney

Another early start this morning, as well as getting Mya ready for the show, plaiting hair, sorting costumes and getting make-up on, we also had to squeeze in breakfast, a rehearsal over at a near-by hotel and checking out the cases, all in extreme heat and me suffering from a cold.

It was all completely worth it when us parents gathered in the Videopolis Theatre in Disneyland Park at 12.30 to watch our beautiful children perform.

Wow Wow Wow! They completely smashed it.  Performing to an audience of 800 people in the theatre.

Final group shot of all the kids with the castle behind.  Such a magical trip!
After all the excitement and still on a buzz, not quite fully taking in what Mya has achieved over the last days, we enjoyed our last afternoon of Disneyland Paris.

Our last meal was a real treat.  Eating at Waltz Restaurant in Main Street.  The menu was all the favourite dishes of Walt Disney.  Really delicious food and so full, ready for a long 11 hours of travel back to the UK overnight.

Day 3 - Parade Day!

We walked into the park early.  The girls enjoying the build up to the parade experience.

In blistering heat we dropped the kids off at the centre of the park ready to be part of the parade of 250 children through the Main Street.  Luckily Mya was on the left side which allowed me to find a shady spot to wait for her to come through.

It was so much fun watching all the people passing by whilst I was waiting, in so many outfits and costumes.  Then the music started and it was all very emotional as the procession started to edge towards us.

Words fail me as to how proud I was of our beautiful girl.  She just shone just shone out in the group of Arabesque as they passed by.  Such a magical moment for her, performing at Disney in the procession.

We went back to the hotel after the parade to have a cold shower and get ready for another afternoon enjoying the park.
