Diggers out in the Field

Sadly they have really started working on the field out the back of the house.  So sad to be loosing this green field to more houses, luckily the end of the field by us isn't going to built on but will be a walking area.  They are starting to move the soil and diggers are working each day, moving the dirt around.  This morning they nearly had an accident as a dumper truck nearly rolled down the hill, saved luckily by one of the diggers.

Barnham Opticians Open Day

A fabulous day yesterday at work's Open Day which they hold each year.  So much buzz and excitement and so many gorgeous frames on offer.  Very lucky to work with such a fabulous team of people.

Pushing his ankle too hard!

John has been back at work on shortened hours but he has been coming home each afternoon with a very swollen ankle.  On Tuesday he came home and as well as being swollen it was also extremely red and angry looking.  We spent 7 hours down at A&E getting it checked out, blood tests and X rays showed it looked out and no infection so has been sent home to rest and elevate his foot.  Signed off work for 2 weeks and having a serious discussion about how to move forward with work, maybe a longer period of gradual introduction to work and foot elevated once he gets home each day.

Disney Dress Rehearsal

Mya has been working hard with her Arabesque crew for their trip to Disney in a couple of weeks to perform in the parade and on stage.

Dress rehearsal at the weekend and it went really well.  So proud of her.

Rocker Daughter

For the show Mya is performing in with Arabesque she had to find a rock star costume. This is what she’s come up with.

Wild Flowers

Last Spring I sprinkled wild flower mix of seeds around the garden. This year they have flourished and filling areas with colour.

Weekday Walks

Every morning Purdie and I head out at 7am for a walk across the local Climping fields. When the sun shines it’s a great way to start the day.
