Arrived at the Novotel Futuroscope

A steady drive heading north after leaving the Airbnb to arrive in Poitiers and the Novotel for our 2 nights stay.

A relax this evening, enjoying the pool and dinner.

Before bed we took a walk down to the entrance of the Futuroscope Park. Impressed either the Cosmos hotel and excited about the park tomorrow.

Last Day at the Gite

Can’t believe we are at our last day at the Gite in Bosset. It has been our home and relaxed space for over a week.

Although it was slightly cloudy it was still 28 degrees so enjoyed time reading by the pool and swimming.

After packing the cases we headed into Bergerac for a delicious meal a last wander.

La Bugue

We drove an hour to La Bugue today, a pretty and lively town by the river.

First we visited the fresh water Aquarium.

Then we went on to Le Bois Des Lutins. It was a lovely picnic area in the woods filled with climbing nets, huts in the trees, slides and zip lines. A great activity area for all ages.

Early morning Hot Tub

The plan was an early morning swim but the pool was a little chilly so Mya and I ended up in the hot tub, chatting and watching the birds dive bombing the pool for water.

Dinner from the Fridge

We were too late to catch the Supermarche so tonight gets dinner was mashed together with what was left in the fridge. Not a bad spread.

Chateau De Bridoire

Today’s visit on a very hot 36 degree day. 35 minutes drive through vineyards was the Chateau.

First built in the late 12th century with more than 10 different families that have lived here. In 1576 the future king of France (Henri of Navarre) dined here. In recent years the castle had 22 years of vandalism and looters before the Guyot family bought the Chateau in 2011 and brought it back to life.
