At a mild 28 degrees we had a couple of hours relaxing by the pool. The water is now the same temperature as the air!

Lac de Pombonne
About 15 minutes drive from us is this beautiful local swimming lake. We spent most of the day enjoying the water and then pain, fromage and saucisson in their cafe. Tres bon!

Issigeac Night Market
Tonight we drove 35 minutes to the medieval town of Isdigeac.
We wandered the historic streets and took a look around St Felicien, the villages church.
We had a drink in the square before heading down across the river to the food market which is held every Thursday evening in the summer to allow the local community and tourists to gather together, chat, listen to music and eat and drink.
Beautiful Bergerac
Our closest city to where we’re staying and this morning we had an explore. About 25 minutes drive and we found the centre then wandered the streets.
Steeped in history including the famous Cyrano, man with the big nose that wasn’t actually born in Bergerac but they seem to have adopted him as the character here.
We enjoyed a coffee and a pastry from a local Bulangerie for lunch.
Home for a cool off before out tonight.
A Relaxed day enjoying where we are
A hot 40 degrees so made the most of the cool swimming pool and eating yummy food from the local supermarche.

First Dinner
It’s gone 9pm, it’s lovely and warm and we’re sat out on our patio eating dinner. So peaceful, looking out over the garden and to the pine forest beyond.
Arrived at the Airbnb
After a good 4 hours of driving down to the Dordogne, we arrived at Hameau du Jardin Fleuri, our home for the next 8 nights.
A beautiful haven deep in the countryside. How lucky are we?! ❤️
