Family Sunday

A beautiful sunny day.

We made the most of the day and headed to Staunton Country Park for a lovely walk in the woods and around the pond.

We called into the Ashling Vineyard on the way back and treated ourselves to a shared charcuterie platter and drinks whilst sitting out in the sun looking over the vines. Heaven.

Following our participation in the National Literacy Trust's Holocaust Memorial Day event, Mya’s school was delighted to win a selection of fiction and non-fiction books to support our learning about the Holocaust.

Women’s Six Nations Rugby

England vs Ireland at Twickenham

Mya was lucky enough to go on a school trip yesterday to watch a live match of rugby.

She had a fabulous day, very memorable experience and England won!

We dug out our 2011 New Zealand Rugby World Cup cap so she really looked the part!

A Relaxing Last Day

And finally some better weather.  The wind dropped and it was a few degrees warmer.  We actually sat by the pool and soaked up some sun.

I treated Mya to a facial at the hotel spa which she loved.

This evening we had a beautiful walk down past the port in the warmth, lots of people out and about.

Traditional dinner of Sangria and Paella and Icecream to finish.

So lovely to experience Pollenca on a warm spring evening, completely idyllic.

It should be noted that I have struggled this whole holiday with a stinking cold, Mya has been so caring and we have tried to make the best of it.

Pollenca Old Town

We headed out this afternoon to Pollenca Old Town and walked the 365 steps (1 step for each day of the year) up to the church Oratori Del Calvari. It was so stunning with beautiful villas lining the steps and the view from the top was breathtaking.

We then walked back down to the main central square and enjoyed pizzas in the sun.

A Easy Stroll along the Port of Pollenca

The sun was again shining but a strong wind as we walked the waterfront down past the port of Pollenca.

Stopping for a snack to watch the world pass by and allowing us to enjoy some sun in a more sheltered spot.
