Happy Fathers Day

A lovely morning celebrating Fathers Day at Amberley Tea Rooms and then a shady walk for Purdie before relaxing back out of the 32 degree heat of the day.

Mya and Luke finished the day off having a swim in the sea at Felpham.

Barnham Outdoor Concert

A fun evening at Murrells Park last night. Mya hanging out with boyfriend Luke and her friends and John and I sitting, relaxing and listening to the music.

Bush Removal

We had a bush in the garden that we pruned back hard when we first moved in and it has grown but wasn't looking it's best and seemed to be taking over the flower bed, so I mentioned to John that we ought to take it out.  In the next breath he was hacking away at it until it was completely gone.

A great big gap in the flowerbed now but looking much better.

Green Flag Award

The school is very proud to have received our Eco-Schools Green Flag Award with Distinction for the 5th year running!

This year they have been focused on healthy living, biodiversity, and improving our school grounds.

The students have made a real difference not just within tbe school, but in the wider community too. From enhancing the outdoor spaces to taking part in local litter picks in parks and surrounding areas, their efforts have had a lasting impact.

Last Day of School for Lucy

It’s hard to believe that Lucy has got to her last day of school. Jo has so kindly taken Mya to school each morning for the last 2 1/2 years but from tomorrow it’s down to us to get her there on time.

The girls are both growing up so fast.

Last Show with Arabesque ‘Dont Stop Me Now’

After 3 years of Saturday Stage School, Mya has come to an end of her journey with Arabesque. Today’s final show was held at the Windmill theatre in Littlehampton.

So proud of Mya with all the different parts she played in the show. She just shines on stage.

This is her costume for playing Commander Khoshaggi in We Will Rock You!
The theatre was full for this final show.

A lovely head-shot photo of our beautiful daughter, moving on to other exciting things in her life.

Wheelie Bin Adaption

After 2 months of waiting for the council to collect our old bin, we’ve given up and decided to adapt it into a water butt.

Hedge

The hedge at the bottom of the garden is thickening up nicely. I’ve trimmed it today to tidy it up. I also got the strimmer out and chopped down the grass next to it. Looking much clearer.

Family Day at Gunwharf

Before life gets too back to normal, end of half term, we decided to go to Gunwharf to see the new Michael Jackson film in the comfortable seats of Vue Cinema.  A great film.

Then lunch at our favourite, Wagamamas!

It's good to be home.

Starting the day with a delicious breakfast on the patio enjoying the garden.  Missing the Mickey Waffles though!

Garden has burst into life

Back home and can't believe how much the garden has flourished whilst we've been away.  Luckily John has been watering to keep things alive through the heatwave that hit.

Day 4 - Theatre Show and Final Memories of Disney

Another early start this morning, as well as getting Mya ready for the show, plaiting hair, sorting costumes and getting make-up on, we also had to squeeze in breakfast, a rehearsal over at a near-by hotel and checking out the cases, all in extreme heat and me suffering from a cold.

It was all completely worth it when us parents gathered in the Videopolis Theatre in Disneyland Park at 12.30 to watch our beautiful children perform.

Wow Wow Wow! They completely smashed it.  Performing to an audience of 800 people in the theatre.

Final group shot of all the kids with the castle behind.  Such a magical trip!
After all the excitement and still on a buzz, not quite fully taking in what Mya has achieved over the last days, we enjoyed our last afternoon of Disneyland Paris.

Our last meal was a real treat.  Eating at Waltz Restaurant in Main Street.  The menu was all the favourite dishes of Walt Disney.  Really delicious food and so full, ready for a long 11 hours of travel back to the UK overnight.
