Time to Puzzle

Mya is showing signs of improvement today, now to build her strength back up.

To keep me entertained I’ve resorted to jigsaw puzzling. Can’t remember when I last had time to sit and do a jigsaw.

The Class Misses Mya

Mya is still sick with very little improvement. This evening one of her classmates delivered a card.

So very kind. It reduced her to tears.

Sickly Half Term

Poor Mya, the half term didn’t turnout as planned. Mya came down with a bug on the Friday evening and has been sick ever since.

Fever, diarrhoea and complete loss of appetite.  She has also had a horrible cough. We’ve had appointment with nurse, then doctor (who diagnosed tonsillitis and antibiotics even though she didn’t have a sore throat) then appointment at hospital that told her to stop antibiotics immediately and said she had a nasty gastrointestinal bug.

Purdie is keeping her company ….

We’re now heading towards 2 weeks of it and a small improvement of eating a bit but so exhausting for her. Her friends are now all back at school so she’s now worrying about what she’s missing.

Preparing for the Hedge

We are going to plant a new hedge at the bottom of the garden. The bushes (Griselinia Broadway Mint) a New Zealand variety of hedge, have arrived, all 60 of them!

We’ve dug a shallow trench, ready to make holes and plant in a week or so.

Country Walk

A rainy day today but Lue and I walked Bosley across the local fields.
Once dried off he then loves to sit on you with his blanket!

Spending Time with Lue

With it being half term and John taking time off from work too. I’ve had the opportunity to have a night away down with Lue and Chris in Wiltshire.  Some quality friendship time with Lue. After a lovely walk with the dogs we finished the evening with a fab meal out at a local country pub.

40+ years of friendship, we’re more like family. So important to make memories whilst we can.

DIY Dog Clip

Poor Purdie was getting to the point where she couldn’t see where she was going so I’ve attacked her with the clippers.

Before….

I tried to do more of a Schnauzer cut. She looks a bit tidier.
