We got my sewing machine out today and I showed Mya how to use it. She made a lovely dress for her doll.

Kumara Soup

This weekend I helped make soup, 1200 litres of kumara soup!

Half of the Kumara were grown and harvested by the school kids. 

Total amount that needed washing, scrubbing, peeling, chopping and then cooking 300kg!   

TipTop ice creams donated the containers that we transferred the soup into this morning.

It will then be frozen and over the coming months will be donated to families in need within the Rotorua area.

NZ has 0 active cases of Covid 19.

1504 people in NZ had the disease 

22 people died

As of midnight tonight we enter Level 1.  No more social distancing. Life returns to a new normal. 

Borders remain closed to the world except for returning kiwis and those will quarantine for 14 days on arrival.

Belated Birthday Party

Caelan has his 5th party today. Mya was the grown up girl of the group. 

All the kids had fun hunting for fossils, hand painting and playing. Another excellent cake Adele. 

Sleep Over

Friday night and Mya has her friend Kyra for a sleep over. 

All feeling a little exhausted this morning when the girls decided to get up and go down for breakfast at 1am!!
