I couldn't stop giggling today when I put Mya in her ourdoor outfit.  With the ears and her paws as hands she looked just like a pink bear.   So Cute!

Very Happy Birthday to Granny Alix. 

Mum has had a lovely day, she's been given lots of lovely flowers, presents and cards, spent time with her granddaughter and had a lovely 'high-tea' lunch with friends and family.

6 Days Old Already

I can't believe that Mya is already 6 days old.

She's such a settled and contented baby.  We're getting use to the sleepless nights and her feeding is starting to be a bit more regular now. 

How could you not love that peaceful and angelic face?!

The Arrival of Mya

John and I are delighted to announce the arrival of Mya Rose Backhouse at 00:47 on Thursday 30th August 2012, weighing in at 7lbs 14ozs.

Although I was initially induced in the morning, I then managed to get through 17 hours of labour without any other drugs, helped by the amazing support of John and our neighbour Dinie who was our midwife.

 We spent 1 night in hospital before settling in at home.

New Arrivals - but not Kate!

One of our Ewe's has beaten me to it.  Last night she gave birth to a boy and girl lamb.  All are doing fine enjoying a bit of the spring weather we've had today.
