9th Wedding Anniversary

We celebrated our 9th Wedding Anniversary as a family today.  The sun was shining and we headed to Mount Maunganui after stopping off for breakfast at Okere Falls Store.

 

 

With the most breathtaking views we walked up the Mount. Mya did really well with only a few short bursts of being carried. 

 

 

 

 

There was also time for a play on the beach and a tasty lunch.

Early Birthday Celebrations at Kindy

Because Mya will be in the UK for her 4th Birthday, the kindergarten had a special celebration today.

Mya sets out the table and then has a story of her life so far, lights a candle and gets given a gift and cards from all her Kindy friends.  They then sit around the table and have birthday cake.  Mya is given the responsibility to hand out the slices of cake. 

It was a very lovely morning and sends Mya on her way for her holiday in the UK.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A Sing Along

Whilst we were at the Museum today we came across a choir singing some Maori songs, without hesitation Mya got up and joined them, mouthing the words like she was singing.  Very sweet. 

 

 

Icy Walk in the Redwoods

Amazing ice crystals, beautiful blue skies and walking in the winter leaves, a perfect family Sunday morning.

 

 

 

Getting Ready for Travel

Mya is trying out her headphones for the plane.  Countdown now, only 2 weeks to go!!
