Librarians Trip to Portsmouth

Mya had a fun day out with school today. It was a Book Awards day.

Complete Madness Concert in Barnham

Thanks to free tickets from work we had a fun night listening to music in the open air at our local village park. 

Visitors from NZ

Jayne and family managed to squeeze in a visit to us on their way to London. 

It was just so wonderful to see them. Mya, Alex and Bradley had chance to re-kindle their friendship and connecting again with Jayne felt so good, lovely hearing all the news from Rotorua. 

I made a strawberry and cream cake for pudding, looks like I’m posing for a magazine! 

We had a wander round Arundel before they left. They were overwhelmed by all the history, castle and heritage of the town. 

Eco Club Achievement

Such an achievement.  Mya is the chairman of the Eco Club. 

The school have done it again for the fourth year running! Over the last year students across all year groups have been working hard to achieve the Tidy Britain Eco-Schools Green Flag Award. This is an internationally recognised award that aims to make improvements in the school environment and the wider community as well as raising awareness of global issues such as inequality and climate change.

Pupils formed an eco-committee and decided which issues to tackle. Students were keen to tackle issues around waste, healthy living and single use plastic. We are very pleased to have achieved the Eco-Schools Green Flag Award for the fourth year running, especially to have received Distinction!

So pleased with the wild flower seeds that I sprinkled around in the early spring.  Filling areas that looked a bit bare last year.
