Tea Jazz at Stansted House

A fabulous afternoon with glorious weather listening to amazing music.   Only way to enjoy a Sunday afternoon.

Janet’s Retirement Party

I was out with work last night saying ‘happy retirement’ to our Dispensing Optician Janet.

A raucous night at the Italian in Arundel with yummy food.

New Car

It was time for an upgrade so goodbye to the Ford Kuga.....

and hello to the Hyundai Tucson Hybrid.  I'm cautiously stepping in the EV world by just having a Non-plug in Hybrid.  It's a very smooth drive and high spec with cooling and heated seats and steering wheel.   Struggling a bit with all the different ways of doing things but will get there eventually.

Relaxing Morning

Purdie and I headed to West Dean for a walk around the gardens and then found a lovely bench amongst the sunflowers and sat and read my book for a while.  We then headed to the cafe to use my Mother's Day cream tea voucher.  A great start to the day.

Just along from us in East Sussex is Drusilla Zoo.
We had a lovely day with Zella and Maisie.

Celebrating Chichester Festival Youth theatre, they had an evening of singing on the terrace.

Schoozing Up the Downstairs Toilet

We wanted to give the smallest room in the house a bit of an identity.

The mural on the wall has transformed it into a happy place.

Dog and Partridge for the Night

Just 30 minutes south of Alton Towers in Tutbury we stayed at the Dog and Partridge.

Yummy dinner…

And great breakfast this morning.

Alton Towers

Not quite the day we planned. We wandered around familiarising ourselves and went on ‘Thirteen’ rollercoaster, pretty scary but not like some of the really extreme ones which we decided to avoid!

A lovely ride on the Skyline gondola, reminded us of New Zealand.

Then queued for Wickerman for 80 minutes! We got to the front of the line and everything ground to a halt as there was an electrical storm. Waited another hour, luckily indoors as it was pouring outside. Eventually got on, crazy fast roller coaster but great fun,

Then all outside rides stopped for the rest of the day due to the weather! We still went on some indoor rides but there were a lot of unhappy people.
