Tree Felling

To keep his wife happy with a good supply of fire wood for next year, John got his chainsaw out today and took down another one of our pine trees.






I felt the massive 'thump' down at the house when it fell to the ground. Now the job of cutting, splitting and clearing up.

Over the last couple of months I've been working hard on my Wednesday afternoons, whilst Mum babysits, clearing and planting up the banks along the drive way.

It's definitely work in progress but really proud of my efforts.

My gift to our dear friend Jean for her 80th Birthday was to make the cake.








We're celebrating her special day with High Tea at the Prince's Gate Hotel.

When it dried up a bit we took a walk up the garden to see Daddy splitting wood.

A lovely family day. After a quick stop at the kitchen shop for Mya to do some baking......


We then headed down to the beach for a bit of a paddle and some sandcastle building.






Finishing off at Rain restaurant for yummy lunch and relaxing to a live band.
