Windy Picnic

It was a hot but very blustery day today. Mum's and Babes headed down to the beach at Lake Tarawera. Mya enjoyed looking at the big waves, looks more like the sea!

Relaxing in Rotorua

It was our 'once-a-month' girls evening out last night. A lovely evening in Eat Streat with great friends whilst the Dads did the babysitting.

Bank Holiday Monday Walk

After ball games with the dogs we enjoyed a walk next to the lake at Hannah's bay. Only way to spend a Bank holiday!

A & P Show

Lots to see at our local A & P Show. Mya had her face painted, loved the bouncy castle and all sorts of animals, Irish dancing and wood chopping to see.

English Tea Party and Bouncy Castle Fun

A lovely morning spent with the girls and the little people. Fine china came out, scones and plum cake, yummy!

The kids had great fun running around the garden and on the bouncy castle.








A walk around the Spring this afternoon with GaGa and the dogs, finished the day off nicely.

Doggie Fun at Hannah's Bay

It was a beautiful breezy day today. Mya and I took the dogs for a play at Hannah's Bay.

More Water in the Garden

Sporting her new Swimy, we got out the bucket and sprinkler to cool off today.

Safety Fencing

With Mya now running around the garden, we've had to look at possible danger areas and one was the edging of our drive. There was a high drop down from the top garden to the drive, so John and I have been out building a fence to stop dogs and Child leaping off the top





.

It's also helped to tidy up an unruly area of the garden.

Picnic at Boyes Beach, Lake Okareka

Mya and I met our friends down at Lake Okareka for a picnic and paddle. The sun was shining and it was a perfect day.

Plums

The plums are ripening on our tree so we went down to the paddock to pick some today.


Think we're going to end up with bucket loads by the end of the summer.

Family Day Out

We headed over to Cambridge today,





didn't let Mya drive though.
After a bit of shopping we found a grassy spot in the park and settled down for a picnic, then a play on the swings.





On the way home we had a coffee stop at the 'Castle' in Tirau. A bit of a disappointment; 'seen it, done it, didn't buy the t-shirt!'.


All-in-all a lovely day out.

Paddock Gates

We have four happy sheep with two new gates installed and one of the shelters tidied up. John's been working hard. The paddocks are looking good.

Rainbow Springs with Mya's Buddies and Redwood Walk with the Family

Fun this morning with Mya's friends, looking at the trout and birds and swinging in the playground.


The perfect way to end the day with a walk with the dogs, Mum and Dad in the Redwood Forest.

Bon Voyage Richard's Family

Friends Nigel, Amanda and Ella are off sailing for the next 2 years, maybe longer if all goes well. Today they held a farewell party.



John kept all the kids entertained with tag game which ended in a full-blown water fight. Maybe I should think about taking a change of clothes for him as well as Mya when we go out! Great fun had by all.

Our dear friend Issy was 70 today. We were honoured to be included in helping her celebrate with friends and family at the Distinction Hotel.
