Arrowtown

A very relaxed day wandering around Arrowtown.

We visited the museum and learnt about the gold mining community that set up there from 1860, when gold was first discovered.

Mya and John had a go at panning for gold in the river.

John found a tiny speck.
We walked around the Chinese village seeing the tiny homes that the immigrants lived in whilst they panned for gold.

We had a yummy lunch at the Postmasters Restaurant.
