Early Birthday Present

An early gift to Mya was her moving into our spare bedroom, this has meant an upgrade to a double bed. I’ve been painting the feature wall (colour chosen by Mya) and John has built a new storage cupboard. 

I’ve also up-cycled an old desk to match the colour scheme.

Slindon College Holiday Club

A glorious day to drop the girls at the holiday club. 

Purdie and ai then headed into the Slindon Estate for a walk in the woods before it got too hot.

Freshly baked croissants, yummy strawberries and coffee. Family breakfasts in the summer holidays, perfect. 

Screen Printing

Mya had a morning of screen printing at the Gnarly Tree at East Dean. 

Choosing the colours she wanted and the screen. 

Created a fab t-shirt which she is now wearing. 

Beautiful Dahlias

 Thank you darling husband for my birthday gift of bulbs. An endless supply of stunning flowers to brighten my days. 

Cast Off

A review on John’s ankle today. The cast came off and then an x-ray. 

The x-ray showed that they put 5 metal pins in John’s ankle rather than the believed 2 pins. Disappointing news is that he now has to wear the walking boot for 6 to 8 weeks which will delay his time back to work. He has a meeting with work tomorrow to discuss details and options. 

Arabesque Festival

To wrap up the year with Arabesque performing arts Mya and Owen were part of the festival dancing and singing on stage, part of their Wizard of Oz production. 

Early Beach Walk

Sadly the weather wasn’t gorgeous like yesterday but still warm enough to enjoy the beach this morning. 

Chichester Festival Theatre - Summer Evenings on the Terrace

Mya performed last night with her singing group at the Summer concert. A beautiful evening enjoying the music.

Emsworth Catch-up with Luella

A fabulous walk with Lue and the dogs. Tide was out so a great paddle and long walk. 

Then back to Brenda’s for lunch and more chatting. 

Awards Day

Just so so proud of Mya. Year 7 Award Ceremony this morning. 

She was recognised and awarded for so many things throughout her year. Such an amazing start to her secondary school learning.
