Brick Cutting

Hard work for John, cutting the edging bricks.

The area looks fab now, so tidy and also has a new Conference Pear Tree.

Paving

The sun was shining today so I’ve been busy this afternoon trying to tidy up behind the greenhouse. Still have leftover bricks from the front so putting them to good use. I’ll need John’s help cutting smaller bricks for the edges but nearly finished.

One of my Christmas presents from John was a calendar with seeds to grow each month. January’s seeds are Cayenne Chilli Peppers. I’ve finally got round to planting them up.

Breast Cancer Heart Cushions

Tonight Mum and I joined other ladies from Felpham Belles to make heart cushions for St Richards Hospital.  The cushions are given to ladies who have had breast cancer surgeries to use to support under their arms post operation for comfort.

In an hour and a half we managed to make 45 cushions.

Beautiful Crisp Winter Weather

Stunning day for a walk on the beach

This Week’s Sewing Project

I managed to make a bum bag this week, with 3 separate zip pockets. A bit of a challenge but got there in the end.  Now Mya wants one.

History Homework

Over the Christmas break Mya, with a little help from us made a Mott Castle as part of her History homework. She took it into school last week. Complete with sheep, flowers and a waterfall.

Sunday Funday

Snack lunch of Mya’s favourite, baked Camembert and bread. She looks like she’s in heaven!

Then a game of battleships, that I won!
This evening Mya has been working on her own sewing project with very little help from me. Showing great control using the machine.
The one on the left (Rosie) is the new one.

Caravan Storage

After a few jobs completed on the caravan today we moved it around to the storage site.

Beach Heaven - Hard to believe it's Littlehampton

Before the rain hits at lunchtime, Purdie and I headed to the beach.  It was just bliss and felt we could have been anywhere in the world.  We could even feel some warmth in the sun as it rose in the sky.

Apple Tree Pruning

John used his new tool, I bought him a small hand controlled chainsaw for Christmas.  It seemed to work well.
