1st of December and the Elves have arrived!

Mya got us up at 3am this morning to see if Lulu and Lili have arrived.

The magic and excitement is still there for Mya, very special. 

A herbal tea advent calendar this year, as well as teacup and teapot, lemon and ginger this morning. 

Even John got a liquorice calendar, a total surprise.

Amazing what you can create with some old decorations and a few branches harvested on a dog walk.

Well the tree has gone up this afternoon. Must be that crisp wintery weather outside. 

Mumma / Daughter Day

Mya had an inset day today so we made the most of it. 

We started with Mya having her hair cut and then a sneaky Starbucks Christmas hot chocolate. 

Then on our neighbour's recommendation, we went to Mambo Jambo’s pottery painting and had an amazing afternoon being creative. So much fun. 

Sadly we have to wait for a couple of weeks for our creations to be fired and ready for collection.

A lovely family day. We went to Sheffield Park National Trust in Uckfield. 

Such beautiful autumnal colours. 

Then home for birthday cake. 

Making my own Christmas Paper

I thought I’d decorate my own wrapping paper this year. 

Hope I’ve made enough.

Very Wet Walk

All got damp today with walk around the Heath Pond. We're currently looking after Luca whilst Mum recovers from an illness.

Happy to be home and warm. 

Mya’s Driving Lesson

Thank you Gaga. Such a fabulous birthday present. Mya has had a 60 minute driving lesson around the top of West Quay carpark in Southampton. 

She did so well and can’t wait for her next one. Such a fabulous thing to get them driving safely before letting them out on the road at 17! 

Storm Ciaran

A wild night and day.  Sadly a roof light ripped off the top of the caravan overnight in the torrential rain.  Luckily our neighbour spotted that it had gone. 

Mya stayed home in the day as school was closed, she was a great help to me holding the ladder and passing me rolls of tape as I climbed up on the roof of the caravan in the storm and using duct tape and an empty compost bag I fashioned a cover to protect the hole. 

No end to my talents! 

The vent was right above our mattress and it was soaked right through so with the radiator on full all day we managed to dry out all the water. 

Apart from the caravan, everything else at home survived the bad weather. 

Life was back to normal today.
