Riding Lesson

Friend Celia managed to arrange a place for Mya to have a couple of riding lessons before we leave. 

We headed out to Lakes Ranch this morning for Mya to ride. 

Her horses name was Orbit.  A very gentle pony. 

As well as a walk out they had some time in the arena. Kiara was riding her own pony called Blake. 

Mya started looking much more confident and in control once they removed the saddle for her to ride bareback. 





She actually skipped out of the stables. She loved every minute of it. 

Hard Saying Goodbye

My very dear friend Kirsty came round this morning. After a cup of tea catch up we had a very teary farewell. 

Since meeting whilst working on the elections we have always felt like sisters, a special connection. 

Part of the Pack

Purdie has settled in so we’ll with the other dogs at Rose and Dave’s. 

Betty, Louis and Pebbles have allowed her to fit in the group. 

They have great tug-of-wars….

And snuggle up together in the evenings. Very cute. 

Catching Up before We Depart

Tonight we managed to catch up with friend Debbie. 

I have always felt a strong connection with Debbie from our British roots. 

Mya had great fun playing with the girls around the farm.

We met Debbie and her daughter Danni at anti-natal classes, Morgan and Mya have made a friendship over the past 9 years. Hoping they’ll keep in touch and visit each other in the future. 

Speech and Drama Exam

Mya and friends Mia and Cameron had their Speech and Drama exam today. We weren’t allowed to go in and watch. This picture depicts the girls being told about the drama room being totally blacked out with no windows. 

Bye Bye All Our Belongings

After 2 days of packing and a day of removing everything all our belongings have now been taken from the house. 207 boxes/items in total! 

The second day the lorry couldn’t get up the drive! 

School Award

Amazing achievement for Mya with her marvellous drawing for Kahawrite this year. 

Home Grown Avocados

Thought that we ought to make the most of our Avos before we move out. 

I picked a bag full to last us over the coming weeks before we fly. There’s still plenty left and so much blossom ready for next year! 

Amazing to think that we grew this from a tiny plant. 

Day 1 of Packing!

Our Darling Millie - RIP

Today we said goodbye to our darling Millie. She was such a gentle soul, my little shadow, part of our family unit. She slipped away peacefully and with no stress. Rest In Peace sweetest Millie-Mo, you were a special girl. 

Maddie’s Birthday Party

Mya went to Maddie’s birthday celebrations this weekend. 

They went out for yummy pizza….

Followed by the Tree Walk by night……

With a sleepover and then delicious breakfast the following day.
