Mya did some amazing climbing this morning. She managed to climb a wall that, in the past, has got the better of her. She achieved it today.

Welcome Purdie to the Family

Her birthday day is 16th February making her just over 10 weeks old. 

Caravan Tucked Up

John and I have spent the day scrubbing, cleaning and insect spraying Tottie.  She is now all tucked up for winter. 

Waihi Visit

On the way home we stopped at Waihi town and went round the Gold Mining Museum. Then visited the old pump house and rememberance fueld were crosses were placed fir all who lost their life in WW1. 

They are still mining in Waihi, employing over 300 hundred people. 

Relaxing Day

Popped into the local village and played some mini putt...

Back at the camp site....

ANZAC Rememberance

We heard the dawn gun salute from our beds this morning.  John and Mya walked up the beach this morning collecting shells to lay on the cross for remembrance. 

Play Time and Dinner

Mya’s found a friend. They hired the bike to cause havoc around the camp site this afternoon. 

She’s now come in for pizza dinner before an after dark swim in the pool. 

Eel Bridge

Throughout the campsite a river runs that is full of eels. You can feed them if you wish.

Breakfast Walk

Wow it rained last night, so glad we weren’t in a tent! Warm and dry in Totie. We are parked under a tree so as well as the rain coming down we also had large seed pods dropping on the roof. Despite that, we all slept well. 

We decided to take a walk along the beach to the wonderful local cafe ‘Flat White’ for breakfast. Situated right on the edge of the beach. 

Finding our Site

Luckily we arrived early and had chance to get the caravan in position and the awning up before we found ourselves surrounded by other campers. They sure do squeeze us all in! 

After a cuppa and quick breather.....

Mya was off to the heated pool (30 degrees!) for a swim. 

Spag Bog for dinner and then movie night, all tucked up in bed. 

A good 1st day.
