Where did the summer go?

Beach Day

The last day of the holidays so headed to the Mount. 

Enjoyed cooling off in the sea up until a skark decided to swim up and join us in the shallows. One way of getting people out the water! 

Old Spa Room Gone

Another weekend of dismantling for John. 

And it’s gone. The space looks amazing. Some repairs / dressing is needed to the garage and then we can start removing the garden shed and wood store. Already see the vision of our large patio / dining area coming together. 

Fooze Ball Making

Busy in the kitchen making fooze balls. Extra nutty for John, cocoa powder addition for Mya and just fruit/nuts and seeds for me. Yum. 

Morning Message

Mya leaves us messages on her door in the mornings if she is awake before us. 

“I have gone down stairs, tidied my bed and I am watching Some Assembly”. 😂

So many beautiful colours in the garden at this time of year. Thought I’d enjoy some in the house. 

Walk to Work

Certainly can’t complain about the walk from my car to the office. 

New Job

Today was my first day of a new job. After 12 years since I’ve worked, apart from running RSandilands from home and 16 years since I worked for someone else, I have stepped into the offices of New Zealand Home Loans as their Office Administrator. 

I feel very blessed and lucky to have been able to be at Mya’s side for the first 6 1/2 years of her life. This new job is only part time and fits in with school hours, so am still able to be there 100% for my beautiful girl, but now I am allowed to do something for myself too.
