Possible New Family Members!

Today Mya and I have travelled over to Matata to meet 'Maybe' and 'Pepsi', two lovely old donkeys that need re-homing.
Mya bonded especially well with Maybe, even getting a chance to have a chance to sit on her back.

Lantern Festival at Kindergarten

Despite the rain, we all gathered at kindy this evening to celebrate the winter solstice and lantern festival.

Out for pudding afterwards!

A Visit To Te Puia

A chance for Mya and her friends to get up on stage and have a go at dancing with the poi.
Then they were completely fascinated by the weaving of flax.

World Record Broken, and we were part of it!

The most people performing the Haka at once, 7700! We joined thousands of people on Rotorua Lake Front this morning to break the world Record.

Matariki - Happy Maori New Year!

We went out to the Matariki Lantern Parade this evening in town.

Just time to have some yummy hot choc brownies and ice cream next to the bonfire before watching the fireworks. A late night for Mya but lots of fun.

The Cottage AirBnB

Over the past weeks we have all been working really hard on clearing, cleaning and freshening up the Cottage ready for holiday lets through AirBnB.

I listed it last Monday and by the evening we already had a booking!

Last night was the first night of paying guests, very exciting. Hoping to make it a success over the coming months and years.

Farewell to Friends

Mya and I had a last chance to say goodbye to Nicola and Woodley, Mya's dear friend from Kindy.
They are moving to Australia on Tuesday.
Lots of hugs and kisses between the kids, so cute.
