Rotorua Daily Post - Our minute of Fame
Following on from our Fejioa fruit picking last week, Mya and I have appeared in our local paper, photo and article.
There were smiles and quick hands as charities and their helpers gathered at the Agrodome orchard to collect feijoas for a local initiative.
Hamurana resident Kate Backhouse said it was a "really good" afternoon and her daughter Mya, 4, loved being involved.
"We're here to pick for Community Fruit Harvesting Rotorua, it's our first time."
All the fruit gathered would be distributed to local community groups and those in need.

New Bike
Yesterday we went to pick up a new bike for Mya. It's still a bit big for her, having trouble setting off, but once she's going, there's no stopping her.
The Farmhouse Fun Day
Mya and friend Alfie had a lovely morning at a local riding centre. Mya now thinks she's an expert horsewoman!

Mrs Tiggiwinkle
Mya was delighted this evening to see that Mrs Tiggiwinkle is alive and well and living in the garden.

Fun Packed Day
We started with biking and muddy puddle jumping. Luckily Mya didn't get as covered as some of her friends!
Followed by Fejioa picking for the Community Fruit Harvesting Project.

Canopy Tours
We managed, at last, to redeem the vouchers that we bought Mum for her 70th birthday.
On a chilly morning we headed out to the Mamaku Forest with the Canopy Tours.
We had an amazing 3 hours, travelling around the canopy of the forest on zip lines and learning about the ecology and conservation of the area.
On the last zip line I was even brave enough to do it up-side-down!
An amazing, exhilarating and educational morning. Well worth doing.
