Hell-O-Wheels Roller Derby

A fantastic night at our first Halloween Roller Derby.

 

Lots of roller action, a bit like rugby on roller skates without a ball!

 

Half time was a kids lollie scramble on the playing court, more chaotic than the derby, and John won the best costume of the night, prize was $50 voucher for a tattoo parlour!!  A great evening shared with friends Alfie and Sophie.

 

 

Labour Weekend

Enjoyed a walk around Hamurana Springs

 

Followed by a visit to the Okere Falls Beer Festival.

 

 

Never too old for a bath in the kitchen sink!

 

Roller Disco......baby!

Mya's first roller disco and it must be 30 years since I last went to one. A really fun evening and I only landed on my bum once.

 

 

 

 

Mya has been at the face paint again!

 

Enough of Fighting the Grey

A new 'do' to hopefully work with all the grey hairs rather than fighting against them.

 

Drama Workshop

Mya had an amazing afternoon doing a 2 hour drama workshop with some of the actors from Dexter's African Adventure. She had an absolute ball and even performed (at the front of the stage) in a dance routine at the end of the class.

 

A Day of Art

Mya spent the morning at the Art House in the Government Gardens and created a great collection of masterpieces. The lady running it suggested that Mya should hold her own exhibition with all the Art she produced! We then went on to the Museum where we made some Tulips. 

 

Blue Lake Fun and Buried Village

Mya Entertainment Whilst Mummy Shops

Motorised animals to ride around on at Bayfair whilst Mummy does her shopping, ingenious! 

 

Dexter's African Adventures

A highly entertaining morning at the Blue Baths watching Dexter's African Adventure. Mya loved it, especially going up on the stage at the end and meeting the cast.

 

 

 

 

Rocktopia at Mount Maunganui

A morning climbing, just 45 mins from home. Mya did do well we have now signed her up for the Saturday morning Kidz Club.

 

 

 

 

Mya also had a go at the pull up slide which meant she had to dress up in a cute doggie onesie. 

 

Such concentration on her face whilst she's holding on!
