Woodland Walk and Kite Flying

We had a fun morning enjoying the Spring sunshine with a walk in the woods with friend Jennie and her daughter Imogen. 

We then had a lovely picnic at the Tree Trust and a spot of kite flying.

Kindy Spring Festival

In between the Spring showers Mya's kindy marked the end of term with the Spring Festival. The children put on a performance of dancing and singing followed by a shared lunch in the garden.

Cake and jumping in the puddles with your Granddaughter, what more could you want on your birthday. 

Dream Comes True

John was left in charge today whilst I was a 'lady who lunches' in Tauranga to celebrate Natalie Roberts' imminent arrival of baby number 2. We had a lovely lunch at the Harbourside Restaurant after a spot of shopping, it would have been rude not to! 

John made Mya's dream come true by taking her to the ice rink to meet Queen Elsa, a very special day.

Latest Craft Project

Just finished an apron and Chef's hat for Mya. She loves them, the next Junior Master Chef!!

Papamoa Beach and Cafe Fun

Had a lovely morning walking the dogs and making mermaids in the sand at Papmoa beach, then a yummy lunch and coffee at my new favourite cafe and garden centre. 

3rd Birthday Party

A wonderful birthday party for Mya at Abracadabra Cafe.  The sun shone and the kids had fun with lolly scramble, hula hooping and lots of sugar. 

As a relax after the fun, John, myself and Mya headed to the Tree Trust for a picnic and walk to enjoy the sun and fresh air.

Happy Father's Day!

After a chat with Granddad Backhouse on the phone, we had a lovely day out; swimming at the Poly Pools, breakfast in town and then a walk with the dogs and feeding the ducks at Hamurana Springs, now a roast chicken dinner.  The perfect way to celebrate Father's Day.
