Walking! Bubble Bath and Alfresco Dining

Last night, our clever girl took her first 5 steps unaided.  We were all so excited.  She's getting more and more confident on her feet.
She has also just started to have bubbles in her bath, once she got over the puzzle of why she couldn't see the bottom of the bath, she now loves playing in them.

We were spoilt at the weekend with wonderful spring weather, so lovely that Mya had her lunch out on the patio enjoying the garden and sounds of the birds.

Sewing

The sewing machine came out again this weekend and as you can see from the pictures I have made Mya a reversible jacket.  I made it in the size 12 - 18 months and added an extra 1 1/2 inches to the length but still it's only going to fit her for a short time.

Family Weekend

The weather was feeling just like Spring this weekend, so as well as having some family time at home, we also took a lovely walk in the Redwoods with Mya and the dogs.
John managed to do yet more child-proofing of the house by adding more stair rails so that Mya wouldn't be able to climb through.

On Sunday evening John and I went out to a Whitney Houston Tribute concert in Rotorua which was excellent.  Whitney (or should I say Belinda Davids) had the most amazing voice.  All in all a great weekend.
