Mya and I went picking blueberries today. We picked about 2 kilos but only had to pay for 1, the rest were smuggled out in Mya's Tummy!

Wishing all our friends and family a very Merry Christmas. We have had a lovely day, lots of presents, too much food and great company. The sun even tried to shine for us.

Swing and Bubbles!

Mya's clever Daddy has made her a fabulous tyre swing, very cool.



She was also very excited by her new cat bubble machine. Although John did have to silence the extremely annoying tune that it played.

Out for a wander

Our new chicks are 3 weeks 2 days old. Today they were let out into the small paddock to begin to experience life 'outside' their nest area for an hour or two. Mother hen keeps a close eye on them.

Let the Celebrations Begin!

Today we had our kiddies Christmas party. Such a fun day at friend Amy's house, all the littlies has a ball, goodies to eat, a present and a snowman lolly to take home.

I've attempted to make some gingerbread Rudolfs for a Christmas party that Mya's going to tomorrow. Don't really look like reindeer but all good fun!

Baby Chickies!

We now have 5 baby chicks after our clever bantom, Fairy Queen, hatched them. They are now out and about enjoying our lovely warm weather.

Christmas Preparation

Just starting to get ready for Christmas. I made this wreath today, think it looks pretty good.

So here is my latest creation. My first attempt at crocheting. It's been an evening project for the last few months.... Glad that it's finally finished!

Special Smile for Daddy

New Dog House and Recycling Room

John has been working hard over the last couple of weekends, converting our old spa room (the was never used) into a lovely new dog room for when they're in the pen and a place to sort and store all my recycling rubbish.

All Fenced In

John is getting very good at making gates. Trying to block certain areas off around the garden to keep Mya safe.



We've got a new garden bench in the garden. Mya and I enjoyed reading a book there today.

Chicken Herding

Mya had some fun in the garden today and we've found a new job for her....herding the chickens back into their pen!

Another Day, Another Birthday

Today was Charlie's 1st birthday. Trees decorated with pom-poms, croquet to play, sand pit, paddling pool and bubbles....so much fun.

Thomas's Birthday

It was Thomas' birthday today (Mya's boyfriend). All the kids enjoyed playing in the very cool sandpit, and as always Mya was our centre of attention, keeping us all entertained with her antics.

An Evening of Cooking

Mum and I had a fabulous evening with Ray McVinnie courtesy of Farmlands Ladies Night. Ray is one of the judges of New Zealand Master Chef. He was very entertaining and demonstrated some really yummy food.

The sun was shining so we put up the gazebo, put out the picnic blankets and paddling pool.



Mya and my lovely mummy friends and their babes came round to enjoy the stunning weather.

So much fun. Let's hope it's the first of many this Summer.
